How the site evaluates, describes, dates, and corrects information used in calculators and educational content.
Source policy
Sources should be relevant, identifiable, appropriately current, and represented without implying endorsement.
Source categories
Relevant categories include financial datasets, precious-metal pricing, currency exchange information, educational references, government publications, and institutional guidance.
Financial data sources
Financial figures should identify their provider, applicable market or jurisdiction, units, and observation date whenever those details affect interpretation. The site does not claim a financial-data partnership.
Gold and silver price sources
Metal prices are entered by the user. The site does not retrieve live prices, automatically update prices, or supply fallback values.
Any future integration must identify its source and timestamp and distinguish spot, cached, and delayed data.
Currency exchange sources
The selected currency is a display label only. The calculator performs no exchange-rate conversion, so all monetary inputs must use one consistent currency.
Future exchange-rate features must name the provider, show the relevant timestamp, and explain any delay or conversion convention.
Educational references
Educational claims should be supported by reputable primary or institutional material where practical. Differences in interpretation should be described neutrally rather than collapsed into a single universal claim.
Nisab profile variation
Commonly used calculation profiles include gold thresholds of 85g and 87.48g and silver thresholds of 595g and 612.36g.
This variation is disclosed intentionally. The source policy does not rank one configured profile as universally authoritative.
Government and institutional references
Official publications may be used for jurisdiction-specific rules or public information. Linking to an institution does not mean that it endorses this website.
Date-sensitive information
Prices, rates, laws, and official guidance can change. Time-sensitive claims should display a relevant date or be written to avoid implying that an old value remains current.
Numerical examples
Example prices and monetary values are hypothetical unless a date and source are shown. A hypothetical example illustrates arithmetic and must not be presented as current market data.
Source review standards
Review considers authority, directness, publication date, methodology, jurisdiction, conflicts, and whether another independent source is needed. A source must support the specific claim for which it is used.
Unsupported or user-submitted claims
User submissions are treated as reports to investigate, not as verified evidence. Unsupported numerical or attribution claims should not be published as fact.
Source correction process
Incorrect, outdated, or mischaracterized sourcing can be reported through the contact page. Material changes follow the corrections policy.
Current implementation limitations
Current calculators rely on values entered by users where applicable. No live gold, silver, or currency API is connected. Cached or delayed information will not be described as real-time, and a failed future source must not silently produce a misleading result.
